Established in 2009, the Boston College MSA provides spaces for students of all backgrounds, faith groups, and ethnicities to come together and enjoy each other's companionship. We are committed to enhancing the spirit of religious co-existence, understanding, and dialogue at Boston College. We welcome everyone, regardless of religion, to come to our events, to participate, or just observe.
We provide spiritual resources and a community space for Muslims to find their faith, grow in iman, as well as in their character. Students form lifelong bonds, have insightful dialogue, and pursue academic excellence. InshAllah, the unity of our Ummah will strengthen one day and one dua at a time, with the sole purpose of pleasing Allah (SWT)
The Boston College MSA is proud to be part of the BC Campus Ministry community, which supports students of all faiths in practicing and celebrating their beliefs. Through this partnership, Muslim students are provided with dedicated space on campus, resources for worship, and opportunities to share Islam with the wider BC community.
Campus Ministry helps us foster mutual respect, interfaith dialogue, and a spirit of service by supporting our events, lectures, retreats, and programs. Their support allows us to strengthen our unity as an Ummah, while also building bridges of understanding with people of all backgrounds.

One of our most anticipated events of the year is when we host the Boston Muslim community at our annual Fall Banquet. Last year's theme was Aspiring Awe: Beauty in Allah's Creation. Alhamdulillah for a night of delicious food, Quran recitation, poetry, and a talk from our very own Chaplain, Mahmoud!
The annual BC MSA Retreat is a time for fun, reflection, and building connections in the community. In November, our community spends a weekend at Bellarmine House in a time filled with spiritual reflection and community building activities. Through splitting up in reflection groups, taking walks, having conversations with one another, and a talk from our Chaplain, Mahmoud, we are able to get closer to one another and our faith.
From Oct. 21 - 27, our MSA joined other MSAs around the country to participate in Charity Week: a volunteer campaign led by Islamic Relief. At BC, we held a number of events to raise money: a bookmark sale, Pie the E-Board, Game Night, Sisters Game Night + Brothers Soccer Tournament, Baked Goods & Art Sale, and a Volleyball Tournament with w/ Black Muslims Path. Throughout the week, our E-Board was tasked to compete in a number of dares: sleeping over in O'Neil, spicy noodle challenge, and even getting their hair dyed! The money was donated to various causes to help those in need around the world.
Alhamdullilah we had a lot of exciting sisters' programming last year and lots to come this year inshaAllah! We had events like Sisters' Galentines, Freshmen B runch, Mug Painting, Sisters' Halaqahs, baking and movie nights, and more! This year we have so many more fun activities planned for the sisters of BC, so be on the lookout inshAllah!
Alhamdullilah, the brothers had a fun time last year. Whether it's a formal event or a spontaneous hangout, we always try to bring the vibes and serve as spiritual reminders for one another. We had a bunch of exciting brothers' events, including multiple Game Nights, Shawarma Night, a sahoor IHop run, countless Brothers Halaqas, a PC Cafe run, and a Movie Night. Be on the lookout for another year of memorable Brothers' events!!
This past Ramadan, in collaboration with Islamic Relief, we hosted our largest Iftar event of the year. A charity iftar dedicated to fundraising and the importance of raising awareness. The event was headlined by a talk given by Imam Sulieman Hani. Inshallah, we will have more large collaborative iftars in the year to come.
At the end of the Spring semester, we come together to honor and celebrate our graduating seniors, recognizing their contributions, leadership, and presence within the MSA community. The Senior Farewell is a heartfelt evening filled with reflections, laughter, and gratitude as we share memories from their years at Boston College.
It’s our chance to send them off with duas, well wishes, and reminders that they will always remain part of our MSA family, no matter where life takes them. Congratulations to the Class of 2025!
The BC MSA collaborates with other MSAs in Boston, connecting students through banquets, workshops, and charity initiatives. These events provide opportunities to build friendships, strengthen our faith, and share ideas across campuses! Some of these events included volunteering for Islamic Relief, and attending other universities such as Boston University, Northeastern, Brandeis, and many more!
